Therefore, let us all care for, listen to, and serve our customers well,” TADB Managing Director Mr Frank NyabudengeItem THE CONTRIBUTION OF TADB AND MINISTRY OF LIVESTOCK IN MILK AND BEEF PRODUCTION IN TANZANIA(TADB, 2025-04-29) TADBThe Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank (TADB), in collaboration with the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries, has significantly advanced the financing and development of Tanzania's milk and beef sectors. Since its establishment in 2015, TADB has disbursed over TSh 60.43 billion to livestock projects, including TSh 14.2 billion directed specifically towards the meat sub-sector. These funds have facilitated the construction of two meat processing factories and supported livestock fattening initiatives, such as the CAN BE Farming project in Chalinze, which received TSh 1.5 billion to enhance operations and infrastructure, thereby increasing meat production and quality. These collaborative efforts have contributed to a substantial increase in meat exports, rising from 1,774.3 tonnes in 2022 to 14,701.2 tonnes in 2023 . Furthermore, TADB's strategic financing has supported smallholder pastoralists, with investments in regions like Tanga enhancing productivity and market access for over 5,500 farmers Through targeted investments and partnerships, TADB and the Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries have played a pivotal role in transforming Tanzania's milk and beef industries, fostering economic growth, and improving livelihoods for farmers and communities nationwide. TADB has invested over TZS 26 billion in the dairy value chain, notably through the Tanzania Inclusive Processor–Producer Partnerships in Dairy (TI3P) project. This initiative has benefited approximately 19,000 dairy farmers and 23 small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) processors, facilitating access to finance and promoting sustainable practices . The video shows the beneficiaries of the financing and how it has enhanced their lives.Item ZANA BORA TIJA ZAIDI(TADB, 2025-04-29) TADBThis transformational video highlights how the provision of modern agricultural technologies has transformed the Maasai society in Narakauo village it has increased productivity through improved crop yield and quality. In collaboration with LonAgro, the Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank (TADB) has supported 19 farmers with a loan exceeding 1 billion Tanzanian shillings. These farmers aim to transform traditional agriculture into agribusiness and generate sustainable daily income. The initiative is expected to create at least 171 job opportunities 102 for women and 69 for men. Moreover, the loan has empowered women beneficiaries to start their own businesses, enabling them to support their families, educate their children, and contribute to their communities. The event was graced by the Minister of Finance, Honorable Mwigulu Nchemba, who emphasized the pivotal role of agriculture in driving the nation’s economic growth.The launch brought together diverse agricultural stakeholders, including farmers, entrepreneurs, financiers, and public and private sector leaders.
