Abstract
This AgroBrief provides an overview of global and local market trends in Tanzania’s coffee and cocoa value chains. It highlights recent price movements, production and supply outlooks, export markets, and key investment opportunities. Tanzania’s coffee sector is expanding, with opportunities in working capital, quality enhancement, and processing infrastructure, while the cocoa sector benefits from strong global demand, premium fine-flavor characteristics, and significant potential for local value addition. Overall, both value chains present promising opportunities for agricultural financing, export growth, value addition, and improved farmer incomes.
